My Halloween Costume, 2007
Guess what I am?

Halloween Costume 2007 Thumbnail
I dressed up as a voodoo princess for Halloween 2007. Did you guess right? I wanted a costume that was eerie, unique, and would change my entire persona.
I made my whole costume.

It was totally creepy wearing this makeup because no one knew who I was. On one hand, I could avoid detection of people I didn’t want to talk to. On the other hand, it’s pretty unsettling when you say hello to close friends and they just blink, not recognizing you! People were doing double-takes all night…

Jewelry, art, music… and makeup! For me, these are all natural ways of expressing myself. The face is a canvas waiting to be enhanced, just like a blank sheet of sterling silver or clay. Here you’ll find an archive of my makeup looks and tutorials. For about 2 years I did my best to never repeat the same makeup (!!), so as you can imagine there are quite a few! I’m happy to answer any questions about how I created a look, product recommendations, etc.
From time to time I have makeup sales, which will also be posted here.

omg i love it!
Thank you!
Hey, I’m doing this look for halloween where half of my face is going to be a skull. I wanted to know if you had a tutorial up on youtube for this? Especially the teeth! It would be very much appreciated 🙂 i love this. thank you.
Hi Amanda, I’ve been thinking about doing some YouTube tutorials but haven’t taken the plunge just yet. When I do I’ll let you know. Hopefully I can remember how I did the teeth, as this was a couple years ago 🙂 Thanks for the kind words!
I just posted this tutorial: http://gearbunny.net/makeup/new-youtube-vid-up-skull-makeup-tutorial/ Let me know what you think!
