Yesterday I stopped into the Sephora in Soho and picked up something that made me excited about makeup again – Toki Doki’s Robbery Palette!\u00a0 Let me back up for a sec.\u00a0 It’s been a minute since I did any makeup posts.\u00a0 The reason is twofold – one, I work at a pretty conservative office so my daily makeup has to be tame, and two, I got a little bored with the products I had.\u00a0 However I’m a sucker for the clever adorableness that is Toki Doki, and this palette just happened to be on sale for the very sweet price of $39 (marked down from $49).\u00a0 If you’re looking to snap one up, do it quickly because a MUA artist there gave me the inside scoop that they’re almost gone.\u00a0 Just wanted to show you all this cool set and a look I did using the products!<\/p>\n

The Robbery palette comes in a keepsake tin, with a big magnet to cuten up your fridge or file cabinet.\u00a0 Aw!<\/p>\n

Inside there are 3 separate palettes.\u00a0 “Royal Pride” has shades of gold and brown.\u00a0 “Arlecchio” has cool shades of blue and green, and “Rapina” has some dark, smokey shades.\u00a0 Each palette has 4 eyeshadows and a blush.<\/p>\n

Here’s the FOTD I created with all the Arlecchino colors, with bold bright eyes and nude cheeks and lips.<\/p>\n

I find Soya and Meteo to be the best eyeshadows in this palette.\u00a0 They are pigment-rich with great, vibrant color payoff.\u00a0 (Always use an eyeshadow base for long wear and maximum color payoff.)\u00a0 Ninja Dog is more sheer.\u00a0 Although I don’t think it would be too impactful on its own, here I used it to blend between the Soya and Meteo.\u00a0 Candy Cane is a very shimmery platinum.\u00a0 It’s pretty hard to work with as it has a flaky texture.\u00a0 Even though I only used a dab to highlight my browbones, I ended up with shimmers all over my face.\u00a0 And Momobella, the blush, is lovely and tawny with subtle gold shimmer, and should work on all skin tones.<\/p>\n

Non-TKDK products I used: Almay concealer, Physicians Formula color correction pressed face powder, MAC Chartru paint, Rimmel jungle pencil (on waterline), Mary Kay nude lipliner, and a peachy Sephora lip gloss.<\/p>\n
