OPI – My Private Jet (newer formula)
I ended up buying OPI’s My Private Jet the other day. When I first picked up this bottle in Ricky’s, I thought it looked dusty and I was trying to wipe it off. Turns out that “dust” was the scattered silver shimmer inside. Ha! Well, this is the new, non-holographic, and therefore not as fun formula of MPJ. Still, I think it’s a nice color.
In natural light it looks like a charcoal grey with silver shimmer.
With flash, it resembles more of a warm brown. You can see the very weak scattered holo glitter.
What you see here is two thin coats. It applied very smoothly and dried exceptionally fast. MPJ is different from anything I have in my collection, and I can see myself wearing it a lot this fall. Bonus points for the fact that it’s an office-friendly color.
This is probably a long shot, but does anyone know if the old holographic formula of MPJ is still available anywhere?

Jewelry, art, music… and makeup! For me, these are all natural ways of expressing myself. The face is a canvas waiting to be enhanced, just like a blank sheet of sterling silver or clay. Here you’ll find an archive of my makeup looks and tutorials. For about 2 years I did my best to never repeat the same makeup (!!), so as you can imagine there are quite a few! I’m happy to answer any questions about how I created a look, product recommendations, etc.
From time to time I have makeup sales, which will also be posted here.
