Merry Christmas! Sally Hansen Snow Bunny Nail Strips
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
To celebrate the season, I am wearing Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips in Snow Bunny. They feature a pearlescent white base with red snowflakes. They remind me of a knitted sweater pattern, but I also got the comment that they resemble gift wrap. Either way I love these wintery nails.
I applied these over a basecoat and used a coat of Seche Vite on top to seal them. So far they still look perfect after three days. In the past I’ve gotten a good ten days of wear out of these nail polish strips, so I think they’re well worth it.
Whatever you celebrate, hope you have a wonderful night!

Revlon 2011 Holiday Nail Polishes – Glitz and Glam, Mistletoe
I was attracted by two lacquers from the Revlon Top Speed Holiday collection.
Glitz & Glam is a rose and silver glitter in a red base. Three coats will give you complete, streak-free coverage.

And here’s how Glitz and Glam looks compared with OPI DS Bold (pictured on nails). While they share similarities they are not exact dupes. G&G is slightly darker/less pink, with finer glitter. I actually preferred the formula on the Revlon, as well.

And Mistletoe is a grown-up blackened golden olive foil. This is three coats as well.

Mistletoe doesn’t really scream “holiday” to me, but I think it’s a lovely color for fall/winter wear. Glitz and Glam is definitely more party-ready!

Fright Night Claw Polishes for Halloween
Hooray for Halloween nail polishes! The Fright Night lacquers are especially fun because they come in coffin-shaped bottles. The funny-shaped cap can make for tricky application, but I can easily let that slide for the cuteness factor.

And here’s what they look like on claws:
Voodoo is a bright red glitter in a red jelly base. This is two coats. It’s gritty on its own, so a topcoat is definitely needed. I used Seche Vite here.

Toxic is a dark green foil. It really shines in bright sunlight. Two coats.

Phantom is a very chic gray shimmer. Two coats but three would have been better as there was still some patchiness on my middle finger.

Poison is a blue/purple blurple metallic. Two coats.

Enjoy!

Goodbye, Summer
The nights are getting nippy, the fragrance of wood smoke is in the air, and Halloween will be here in a couple of weeks. There’s no denying that fall is here and summer is over. Still, I wanted to do a last hurrah with some summery nail polish spam.
