New to Etsy?

Etsy.com is an excellent online marketplace and your one-stop shop for anything handmade, from home decor to clothing to supplies.  It’s really changed the way I market and sell my jewelry.

Are you new to Etsy?  It’s super easy to use.

To register as a buyer…

All you need is a working e-mail address.  Create a user name and password and you’re ready to go!

Selling your products…

Couldn’t be easier.  Once you create a listing it remains visible in your “shop” for 6 months or until it is sold, whichever comes first.  I find their interface to be user friendly, and they’re making intuitive updates all the time.  Etsy’s fees are very reasonable as well, especially compared to some of the more commercial sites such as eBay.  Inspired by amazing peeps like Shrinkle I actually began selling my jewelry on eBay first.  But the quickly escalating fees and frustrating listing process got old pretty fast.  Plus, Etsy is specifically targeted towards people who love, want, and appreciate handmade!  I’ve connected with some very talented artists there – it really feels like a community.

So if you haven’t checked it out already…

What are you waiting for?  Surf on over and goooooo Etsy!
