Hard Candy Glossaholic Lip Glosses Review

When I saw these Hard Candy Glossaholic lip glosses in WalMart I HAD to have them.  They’re lip gloss with flakies!!  I picked out Fabulous (a dark red – left) and Lush (a peachy pink – right).

The wide doe-foot wand made application quick, neat and easy.  When I say wide, I mean huge!  You can’t really get a sense of the scale from these pix but the actual applicator is 7/8 inches long and 3/8 inches wide.

This is how a thin layer looks – I wish I had built up the color a little more here, because it does look more red with thicker application.

These glosses are smooth and not too sticky, and I got about 3 hours of wear time (no eating, drinking or kissing).  But I did notice that those flakies stick around long after the gloss has worn away.  And they will migrate to anything you come in contact with, so use caution!

The other thing I love about Glossaholics glosses are that they look and smell delicious.  Exactly like vanilla frosting, without being too cloying or artificial.

Included in this collection are two holographic/prismatic clear glosses that are supposed to help you “chill out” or “rise and shine” with a special blend of aromatherapy agents.  Although I’m sure they smell great, I wonder if they have true therapeutic benefits?

I was a stranger to Hard Candy cosmetics until I got introduced to their Beetle duochrome nail polish and these glosses.  Can’t wait to see what else they have to offer.
